We’re thrilled to announce that Brain in Hand has been recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work for a second year running. This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers and highlights the best workplaces for women, the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled employees, ethnic minorities, younger and older workers, as well as those that provide the best wellbeing support.

The official The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL showcases the Best Places to Work in the UK based on six criteria: reward and recognition; instilling pride; information sharing; empowerment; wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Brain in Hand’s culture is what stands us apart but what makes us different?

Enabling an inclusive culture at Brain in Hand

At Brain in Hand, we’re constantly measuring, learning and adapting our working practices to build a high-performing, inclusive workplace.  We place wellbeing and performance on an equal footing, putting just as much value on the ‘how’ our people work as ‘what’ work we do.

In practice, this is reflected in initiatives such as our remote-first working policy, our encouragement for new team members to share their needs from day one, plus offering colleagues recognition whenever we have a small win.

People Director, Lucy Clemas, says the announcement is a credit to the whole Brain in Hand team:

“We're thrilled that Brain in Hand has been recognised for the second year running as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, in the Medium Organisation category. What makes this especially meaningful is that it’s based on candid feedback from 95% of our team - an honest reflection of how our team feel about working here.

This feedback helps us continue to transform our culture and our employee proposition, not just for our current team but for those who may choose to join us in the future. We know that building an inclusive, high performing workplace is a long and evolving journey, and recognition like this are important milestones that make us even more motivated to keep improving. This one’s for the whole team - testament to everyone’s dedication and commitment to making Brain in Hand a unique and great place to work.”

National recognition for Brain in Hand

Zoe Thomas, Editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, congratulated those who have been recognised as a Best Place to Work:

“The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is the UK’s biggest survey of employee engagement, compiled in partnership with workplace expert WorkL. Spanning a raft of sectors throughout the UK, the organisations in this year’s list range from innovative start-ups with a handful of employees to big multinational corporations staffed by thousands. These organisations know that happy employees are the superpower helping them thrive.”
